Thank you to New Renaissance Bookshop for interviewing me for their newsletter this week. We spoke about hope for healthy relationships, which is the topic of the two workshops I will be presenting there on October 6th and 7th.
Hello, I’m Patricia Koch, this week’s “eyes and ears” at New Renaissance and your resource for all things enlightening, intentional, and uplifting.
“The goal is hope. To clear the way for hope and wisdom to lead us to happiness in every aspect of our lives.”
~ Mark Mezadourian
Mark Mezadourian has always brought me to a place of hope — a hope for our collective future, and a belief in the transformative power of joy. Hope and joy can become forms of activism, especially when we are faced with situations that leave us feeling fearful, alienated and isolated.
Relationships that don’t work, or that don’t work out, can become those kinds of situations. Sometimes we can feel that no one understands us and no one ever will. Other times we can watch ourselves making the same mistakes over and over without knowing how to change the pattern.
In his two upcoming workshops, Mark will offer us a chance to examine our core beliefs, clear the ones that aren’t working for us, heal some of our romantic wounds, and emerge on the other side with hope for a better future. This hope will be grounded in self knowledge, with new skills to manifest its dreams.
– Saturday, October 6, 7-8:30pm: Angels Romance & Healing
– Sunday, October 7, 2-6pm: Seven Spiritual Steps to Healthy Romance
Mark was kind enough to give me a phone interview. We went deep. Below is just a sampling of our conversation about these two new workshops Mark is offering us.
Mark, as I listen to you, I can feel your passion for helping people clear their limiting beliefs around relationships. What made you so passionate about this work?
I had a marriage that did not work. That failure shook my understanding of how life and love worked. Love was not enough. Love did not save the day. A lack of shared beliefs and projections did us in.
To manifest the marriage, I used all the spiritual tools that I had — visualization, affirmations, healing wounds — and they worked. The story of how we met, with all the synchronicities around it, was like a fairy tale. Because we “just knew” we were meant to be married, we skipped healthy dating steps.
After we married, two different sets of beliefs came up, like someone pressing PLAY on “Beliefs About Marriage”. We had beliefs about what the other spouse should do/not do, such as: “You are married so you should be home all the time.”
The surprise at the end of my marriage was a feeling of hope. I emerged with a clarity about beliefs — how to change them and how that could help other people with their relationships.
You are scheduled for two workshops, “Angels, Romance and Healing” and “Seven Steps for Healthy Romance”. How are the they different?
The first, “Angels, Romance and Healing”, focuses on healing our core wounds — abandonment, unworthiness and shame. We are all experts in our own pain. As such, we do not need to linger there any longer, repeating the same pattern. Since we know where our wounds are, we can heal them with loving care and the help of the angels.
Angels see us with the eyes of unconditional love. We will welcome that love and let it buffer us against the voice of pain that we are accustomed to hearing. This healing makes room for our highest self to take over our romantic interaction and intentions.
“Seven Spiritual Steps for Healthy Romance” is the belief workshop. We will spend four hours working through five levels of clearing and two steps of manifesting. The workshop is designed to release all negative and outdated influences from this lifetime, past lives and our ancestry. This work is appropriate for existing relationships as well as ones that we want to manifest.
Our goal here will be to place our powerful adult selves in charge of our romantic lives, interrupting the dramatic and impulsive adolescent self who may have been running the show up until now. As a result, we can align our relationships with our chosen beliefs, rather than our wounds.
Just this week I heard from a woman who had taken the belief workshop. She had been attached to one person for a while. After bravely letting him go, the man she married came forward quickly. She had made room, was clear with herself and the universe, and was ready.
What do you want people to take home with them from each workshop?
From “Angels, Romance and Healing”, a sense of being fully alive. Being whole, complete and filled with love.
From “Seven Spiritual Steps for Healthy Romance”, peaceful clarity. And to leave with a strategy for healthy partnership, one which intention and action replace reaction.
The goal for both workshops is hope. To clear the way for hope and wisdom to lead us to happiness in every aspect of our lives.
Join us, and receive the gifts the angels have for you in your relationships and in every area of your life.
Blessings,
Patricia
