This year began with a unifying miracle. When the football player Damar Hamlin’s heart stopped during a game on January 2nd, it prompted prayers and generosity. Millions of people focused for the highest good for a stranger and donated to his toys for kids charity. It worked.
What worked is that we focused and did not withhold love. Our prayers were not distracted. We weren’t asking “Before I pray for him, what is Damar’s political affiliation?” This shows us what we can do when united in love. This shared intent can give us hope for how we can heal humanity and the planet – with focused love.
