A post from 2037:
There used to be this group called the NRA. They loved guns more than human beings, so for a while a lot of people died. The big change happened when Americans woke up to the fact that a foreign government was not just successful interfering with US politics and media, but was trying to destroy the country by dividing it. This created a huge shift in focus, as suddenly the truly United States became a mighty force for fairness. As it’s people embraced truth and cooperation, the people who valued weapons, money and power over compassionate, intelligent care became as obsolete as the typewriter. Weapons no longer held people in the trance of false safety, as neighbors now held the role of safekeeping each other. Unconscious leaders were retired and replaced by wise ones. Unconscious people ceased to be raised that way, as creativity and expression began to be part of everyday life.
It was bumpy for a while, but when we remembered that we do best when we work together, everything flowed. We embraced wisdom, which made having hope easy.
