First, let’s affirm that each of us, our loved ones and everyone whom we know are strong, safe and healthy. May all those who can use extra prayer receive a shower of radiant wellness.
We are experiencing a unifying event in a time of deep division. People all over the world are all doing the same things and having the same conversations.
Our era of polarization has made it challenging to see the big picture. One thing that has changed in the last few weeks is our focus. Monitoring our environments, our encounters and the wellbeing of those around us has an immediacy to it. This mindfulness has shifted us away from nearly constant distraction to pure presence. Our needs have become simplified.
Our unified big picture has rediscovered priorities. Kindness. Civility. Generosity. Care.
The change in our patterns (by choice or not) has prompted many of us to drop out the rat race. There is no race right now, there is time. Many people have reported reading books, making art, gardening, hiking and conversing. All of theses activities engage long brainwaves, healthfully balancing our minds.
In our fear of becoming ill, we are healing.
We are not meant to emerge from this experience unchanged. We can surface from these few weeks more deeply connected, more centered and more grateful than ever for our lives. We live in a glorious and challenging time of change. Our shared goal of greater unity has been accelerated. We are ready to live with open hearts.
