This interview is from the New Renaissance Bookshop newsletter on Wednesday, August 7th:
Hello, I’m Nate Loomis, this week’s “eyes and ears” at New Renaissance and your resource for all things enlightening, intentional, and uplifting.
“All of the fear and trauma is coming to the surface now to be healed. We can lead the way by dropping out of fear, remembering who we are and living life now as we want the world to be.” ~Mark Mezadourian
The other day, I had the extraordinary opportunity to sit down with intuitive and medium Mark Mezadourian and have a personal reading. He helped guide me through an inner journey to locate and address my own anxiety issues, body and emotional pain, and through that allow a message from my higher self with the help of angels—particularly Archangel Michael.
Mark asked me to release my pain into a ball of energy and to listen to what the pain is revealing:
“Value your self worth,” the energy ball said. “Value your unlimited power and the love that you are.”
Now I am paying more attention to my body pains to hear this message.
Could it be that, as a collective human body, we need to listen to our pains and the hidden spiritual message behind them so that we may heal, integrate and evolve?
How can anxiety be healed and what is amplifying our anxieties?
When we experience anxiety on any level, its cause is often mysterious to us. The first action we can take to heal anxiety is to put it in a context by asking questions. Which part of me is anxious? Is this anxiety even mine? What is happening in my environment to cause anxiety? All of these inquiries shift us into our conscious adult selves, the aspect of ourselves who can solve problems. In the workshop, we will pinpoint where the anxiety is in the body, move it outside, then let it speak. That expression removes the charge of pain, and relief follows quickly.
In our current era, the majority of anxiety people are experiencing is rooted in our proximity to and use of technology, specifically smartphones. That is an environmental cause, not an emotional one. Which means that our emotional triggers can be quelled by making simple adjustments to our technological habits. The main cause of anxiety is wireless radiation, which causes inflammation. The primary change to make is to stop using a smartphone as an alarm clock and replace it with a battery powered one. A restful night’s sleep is the foundation of solid emotional health.
In your workshops you will be helping empaths develop tools to be in this world and thrive. Tell us about that.
Empaths are used to soaking up the energy of other people and environments to gauge their level of safety. We are going to work with our free will to do the exact opposite —- to consciously choose the energy in our environments. This change is instantly felt and easy to do. An expansive intention overrides recycled energy. An empath can use their natural sensitivity as a power to saturate their immediate surroundings, their own lives and the world with love.
We live in a world full of influences and each moment can be saturated with stimulation which taxes our nervous system. What can we do to take care of ourselves and manage this fast paced life of information?
We can value our physical brains. Our brains require time during the day with no stimulation in order to process information and allow fresh ideas to come to the surface. Our minds thrive with the balance of short and long brain waves.
Long brain waves come from reading, meditating, any form of creativity, having a long conversation or walking in nature. Our new lives, that feature a screen as a primary focus, are dominated by short brain waves.
We can monitor what environmental factors are causing agitation. When people tell me that they have anxiety, insomnia, suicidal thoughts or cancer, my first question is not an emotional one like “What things are you worried about?”, it is “Do you sleep next to your phone?” The answer is almost always yes. Making that simple change makes room for restorative sleep, which gives us the chance to wake up feeling fresh.
What would you like people to know about these events and how going to them will help enhance their lives?
My goal for every workshop is that we actually DO things. That we have an active, visceral experience with angels and guides, and experience them helping us. Taking action for our highest good feels fantastic in our bodies and souls. Action aligns us with the two goals of humanity right now, which are to use all of ourselves (including intuition) and to choose the world we want to live in.
