With the burning of a landmark of civilization comes the chance to reinvest in faith. Perhaps a more relaxed and embracing faith, based in love rather than rules. One that we all can easily inhabit.
Blessings to everyone connected to Notre Dame Cathedral. Everyone who conceived the idea and designed it. Everyone who built it for nearly 200 years. Everyone who entered the space in the last 800 years. All who spoke there. All who saw the structure in person or in an image. All who prayed there. All who admired the art in and on the cathedral. And blessings to everyone who was moved yesterday by the fire, as I was.
