Years ago, I got a letter from the IRS saying that I had made a mistake on my taxes. I called them and got a woman who was very abrasive. I became instantly flustered, and hung up when she began to yell at me.
I was triggered and upset by this encounter, as I, like you, don’t respond well to yelling or conflict. “Why did that happened?” I wondered. I asked the angels for help. This simple message came through – “Who would you like to talk to?” I realized that I had not put forward any intention or prayer toward the result I wanted – an easy resolution to the tax issue. I had just called.
I prayed to talk to the perfect person and visualized ending the call felling peaceful. I called the IRS again. A gentle man’s voice gave the standard IRS greeting and then said “My name is Angel. How can I help you?”
Backing up the timing of our prayers to the start of the day, or before any encounter or event, creates a smooth path toward a peaceful experience. This act infuses your interactions with grace and power. It is much more pleasant to pray to create rather than to pray in reaction to an unwanted outcome.
Have you had an experience like this? Please share it. I’d love to hear about it.
