Worry is a reaction. It is old information recycling. Focusing on what you want interrupts this cycle and replaces it with new information (What you actually want to have happen). This action brings peace and moves us into action. Interrupting worry is not something that we are taught. We are taught that worry is good. We are praised for it and worry is used as a means of care (“I am just worried about you.”). What changed my view of worry was hearing Michael Bernard Beckwith say “Worry is prayer for what you don’t want.”
Affirmations: “I replace reacting with worry with visioning what I want with clarity.” “I use all of my gifts with ease and grace.” “I know what to do.”
